Estate Management & Home Watch FAQ

Answers to common questions about Palm Crest’s estate oversight services, inspection visits, reporting, and homeowner support.

What does a palm crest estate visit include?

Each Palm Crest visit includes a structured interior and exterior walkthrough designed to monitor the condition, security, and readiness of your home while you are away. During visits, we observe visible issues such as plumbing leaks, HVAC irregularities, storm damage, pest activity, and other concerns that could impact an unoccupied property.

Palm Crest provides absentee homeowners in Palm Beach Gardens and surrounding Palm Beach County communities with professional estate oversight and reporting to help protect their homes during extended absences.

How often are visits scheduled?

Visit frequency is customized based on homeowner preferences, insurance requirements, and the needs of the property. Palm Crest offers weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and customized visit schedules for homeowners who spend part of the year away from their Palm Beach County residence.

Regular visits help identify potential problems early and provide homeowners with peace of mind while they are out of town.

Do you provide reports after each visit?

Yes. Palm Crest provides written updates after scheduled visits so homeowners remain informed about the condition of their property while they are away. Photo and video documentation may also be included depending on the homeowner’s reporting preferences.

Our goal is to provide clear and transparent communication so homeowners know their property is being professionally monitored.

What happens if you discover an issue at the home?

If a potential issue is observed during a visit, Palm Crest promptly notifies the homeowner with details about the situation. With homeowner authorization, we can coordinate trusted local service providers to address the issue.

Early identification of concerns such as leaks, storm damage, or system malfunctions can help prevent minor problems from becoming costly repairs.

Do you perform repairs or maintenance?

Palm Crest provides professional estate oversight and coordination services. Repairs and licensed trade work are performed by qualified third-party service providers when needed.

Do you perform small tasks during visits?

During scheduled visits, Palm Crest may assist with small, reasonable tasks that help maintain the home while the homeowner is away. Examples may include adjusting thermostats, bringing in packages, running faucets, or other simple actions that support the condition of the property.

More extensive work, repairs, or specialized services are coordinated through trusted licensed professionals when needed.

Can Palm Crest coordinate vendors or contractors?

Yes. Palm Crest can coordinate property access for service providers, monitor scheduled vendor visits, and confirm completion of authorized work when requested by the homeowner.

This service helps absentee homeowners manage maintenance and service needs while they are away from their property.

Do you offer storm preparation or post-storm visits?

Yes. Palm Crest can perform storm preparation visits before major weather events and post-storm assessments to verify the condition of the property.

These visits are available upon request and are scheduled separately from routine service visits. Additional charges may apply depending on the scope and timing of the request.

This allows for timely preparation, verified documentation of property condition, and efficient coordination of any necessary repairs following a storm.

I already have a neighbor checking on my home—
do I still need this service?

While neighbors or friends can provide occasional check-ins, Palm Crest Estate Services offers a more structured and reliable approach. Each visit follows a detailed inspection process with documented reporting, helping identify early signs of issues like leaks, humidity or pest activity— things that can often be missed during informal visits.

For homeowners who want consistent oversight and clear visibility while away, our service provides added peace of mind.
